As you enter an inviting foyer there is a beautiful, bright and sizeable bedroom on the left, a full main floor washroom on the right with the laundry room down the hall. As you walk through, there is a large sunny living room area on the right, with an huge window looking into the backyard pool and gardens. Off from the living room area is a modern kitchen and sunny eating area. Off from the eating area is a quaint and cozy bedroom with a sizeable window facing the backyard gardens as well as the pool. From the foyer, head up the wooden staircase to 3 enchanting bedrooms and main upper level washroom. The Master Bedroom on the far end of the staircase, has a walk-in closet, its own washroom with 2 sinks, Jacuzzi tub and stand up shower stall. To top off the charm of this room, there is a stunning bay window at the one end of the room. Head back to the main floor and off from the living room is a glass wooden door to the basement area. The basement has its own enchanting space on its own, with a full size bright kitchen washroom and eating area.  All Bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms are fully furnished.

Karen is a wonderful landlord. She is welcoming, friendly and polite to all her tenants. She is easily reachable and quick to resolve issues Karen provides many great services such as having fully furnished homes, a monthly cleaning service, snow removal and lawn care which takes away stress. Both 78 and 81 Orchard Mill Cres are close to Conestoga Doon campus which is convent. Both have great common spaces well still having spacious rooms and enough kitchens and bathroom for the number of tenants. I would highly recommend living in one of Karens homes.”

Am I allowed to request a specific room?

You can list your preferences on the application and we will do our best to place you in the room that fits these requests, pending availability.

Can I fill out an application online?

Can I request specific roommates?

Yes, you can list the roommates you have chosen in your resident application. It is important that all roommates list each other and that all requests are mutual. Please keep in mind that any extra rooms in the house will be filled with other occupants. 

What is the lease term?

Gatehouse properties enters into 12 month lease terms with its residents. If you require a shorter term, please indicate this on your application as we may be able to accommodate you. Alternatively, you can choose to sublet your room for the time you will not be using it (ex. the summer months). Please refer to the next FAQ regarding sublets for more details on this process.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not recommended as they can cause damages, pest problems and undue hardship to other residents, all which you are liable for, in addition to being a large financial and time commitment which may affect your studies. If you wish to bring in a pet, you must first obtain written consent from every member of your household and then fill out an application with Gatehouse Properties. In order to receive approval, the application requires proof of consent from your roommates, proof of up to date vaccinations, a clean bill of health from a veterinarian and payment of the pet fee outlined in your lease. 

Approval can be revoked at any time if pet causes damages, pest issues or disturbs the reasonable enjoyment of the household by other occupants.
